Undocumented Jurassic Park Scene?

For those that know me, you know I have always been obsessed with dinosaurs. This has been a sickness of mine even before the famed Jurassic Park came out in 1993 when I was ten years old. I used to put my hundreds of figurines in alphabetical order according to species on shelves in my room. I had a million dinosaur posters, movies, t-shirts, Jurassic Park memorabilia, board games, balloons, candy wrappers, small fossils, documentaries etc. I was known as the dinosaur lady all throughout elemantary, middle and high school. I used to draw them non-stop and was even told by one of my 8th grade teachers that he was saving a drawing I did on the back of my homework so that when I am a famous paleonotologist one day he can say he had me in class. Another teacher in that same grade gave me a wooden spinosaurus skeleton for winning a homework lottery and also put on the Bill Nye the Science Guy episode on one day in class just for me.

I am nothing short of a N-E-R-D.

I even started going to college for geology and biology with the idea that I would be doing a paleontology graduate program.

Alas, things change and the things that became most important to me changed. My life took on a new more domestic route and dinosaurs finally fell along the wayside. It hurts my heart sometimes to see the interest wavor, especially since it stayed with me for so many years. People used to say it was a passing phase, that I wouldn't still love dinosaurs and it bothers me that they can now say "I told ya so."

But the love is still there. I sometimes debate going back to college to finish what I started but I never do. The truth is life caught up with me and my priorities turned upside down. The desire to be a paleontologist drifted farther away, and my interest in dinosaurs seemed to falter like many interests do.

BUT, the nostalgia is still there and now that my life is comfortable again I find that fire ignite in my chest - even if it is a fraction of what it once was.

ANYWAY - this is a huge tangent from what I originally set out to blog about, lol!

When I first went and saw Jurassic Park as a kid, I paid close attention. This is mainly because I was so into the subject matter. I was in awe of the whole film and I am pretty sure I probably cried when I saw the most realistic dinosaurs I had ever seen on the big screen.

I REMEMBER at the end of the movie, when the Velociraptors (Utahraptors for the nit picky like me :-P ) are attacking Grant, Ellie and the two kids, there was a scene where it actually showed the T-Rex CRASHING THROUGH THE VISITORS CENTER. I put it in caps because, since then, I have never seen this part of the movie again! When I went back to the theatre to see the movie two more times, the scene was gone! Edited out! Even today when I try to search for deleted scenes, they never once acknowledge this ever being in the film!

Am I crazy?! Did I imagine this?!

I think not!

A small handful of people on IMDB seem to remember this. I also stumbled across a forum entry where someone does say that the theatrical version had this scene, but Speilberg eventually cut it to add suspense. Other then that, I can't find information, cutscenes, movie stills, etc. about this anywhere! Just one random message board and a thread I started on the imdb forum.

Does anybody else remember this?! I need to find some sort of proof or evidence! It's been bothering me for 15 years!

It does exist! I know it does! *big T-rex roar*
