Jazz in the city Weds eve? (My dad!)

My dad has a brand new weekly gig at Nickie's at Haight and Fillmore. There's one show starting at 6pm and a later one at 7:30 (I think). This coming Weds is the first night of the gig and he wants to pack the place in order to impress his new employers. Also, this is a special one for him since this is actually HIS band that he put together.

We're all going, and hope some of our friends will join us! Gimme a call if you want to let me know before hand.

Things are pretty good today. Work is still confusing, but a little less so because the lead designer actually has committed to leaving. I haven't told anyone at work anything about new jobs. I'm stressed cuz we're out of money two days before getting paid, but actually this is better than it has been and I think I am shaking the habit (a little) of compulsively wanting to spend money. Also this check should be a little better because (gasp) part of my baby's health care is covered now! Whoo!

I've had a great day; walking with Celia to Pharmaca, taking care of one of the niggling things on my mind, gettin them taxes done (can we say refund?) and even taking the compost out. The weather is gorgeous and Terry is taking out the recycling before cooking up some lamb. Celia is learning to get her knees up under her while she is supporting herself with her arms...getting ready for some crawling action. Terry and I discussed today making the house more home-like in the assumption we may be stuck here for at least four more months. We agree this is going to involve purging alot of stufff, and I am ready!

I really appreciate all you guys saying not to worry about complaining about job stuff all the time. That makes things so much easier for me. I haven't been overly organized about getting together with folks lately...but I would like to and would probably agree to come if you invited me to something. :) I've been really itching to play some board games and drink some wine, but at someone else's house, since mine is tiny and in constant baby turmoil. So if you've been thinking "gosh. I'd like to have people over to play games but I don't know if anyone would come..." now you have at least one (and probably two) attendees.

OK, that's all for now. Take care my peeps!
